Moawwad Street Arrests Next To HA Security Headquarters?!

So one of the three apartments that the UN investigative committee along with Lebanese security officers have searched yesterday is in a Beirut southern suburb, Moawwad Street, close to Hizbullah's security headquarters (According to Al-Balad, the headquarters are about 100 meters away).

I have a question, perhaps someone could chime in here: I mean, do you think that Hizbullah intelligence operators would not know about secret meetings to plot Hariri's assassination going on in an apartment so close to their security headquarters in the Dahieh area?

In every newspaper I read, there were references to Hizbullah security and intelligence officers circling the area around the Nassar Gallery apartment building when the arrests and search were taking place. Their claim was that they wanted to ensure security in the area. I believe that. But somehow I feel that it would be impossible for them not to know about such meetings taking place a couple of months back....or more, I believe that those perpetrators perhaps chose this area to help move the country towards sectarian tensions and finger-pointing.

It's all too fishy; we're being led somewhere we don't want to go.

Just thoughts....

if Hezballah is not involved-- as i hope and genuinely believe to be the case-- this could potentially be a major boon for the investigation. as vox mentions, they'd really have to have been aware the meetings were taking place (though presumably without knowledge of their purpose), and thus may have records of who attended.
