friendly advice for those of you out there who like to enjoy a glass of wine every now and then: never buy a bottle of 2004 Piccini Chianti. If you haven't figured it out yet, it's an Italian wine, and it's got an orange-colored label. I think it cost me like 9 bucks. Disgusting!

i agree with rsh. i think it's the orange-colored label that soured the wine :P
interesting coincidence... i was tempted to grab a Piccino Chianti at the liquor store the other day.. though not sure which vintage it was...
anywho, thanks for the warning, i'll make sure to stay away from it..
ok. Two of you have at least implied that I can get good wine for less than $9 a bottle. If you don't spill the beans and provide me with some more usable information, I'm afraid I'll have to hunt you down and squeeze that information out myself. And don't think I won't do it! I know for example, that one of you lives in Rockville, and the other (at least temporarily) resides in Beirut.
Great news, thank you for advice. I'll definitely try this wine! I remember Lebanon, I lived there for some time. And I remeber how I wanted to buy house there. But my credit history was not so good. I had limited income and insufficient savings, and buying home was for me like a distant dream as it required a good amount of money. And bad credit mortgages not only helped me to buy home but also provided great opportunity to re-establish my adverse credit past.
I had Chateau Kefraya wine with Fettucini Alfredo pasta yesterday! Tasted amazing! I love supporting local products although I know I am missing out on much better International wine!
