Kassir and Hawi were just not afraid. Now fear is back in the streets. Don't let it. Let us be visible and keep visibility. Let us be more than the 200 same people who light candles from martyr's square to achrafieh supermarket to mar mitr to wata mousseitbe to... Thursday at 7:30, be at the sit-in in achrafieh. It will add to the hit list. It will make it more difficult for the killers to finish from us all. Let them see how angry we are. Let them see that we refuse these methods. Whoever they are.
Well, it’s kind of hard to fathom how supposedly “avanguard(e)” Trotskyte Marxian intellectuals such as Hawi or Kassir would criticize general Aoun and the Baath party…and support Dick Cheney and Saadan's clan of cynical Saudi-backed thieves
I mean like Jeez, these pseudo-progressive pinkos went from backing comrade Leonid Brezhnev (Hawi actually spent several summer vacations in his deluxe datcha cottage in the South of Ukraine) and his "scientific" brand of socialism to supporting an ultra-capitalist absolute monarchy and its Lebanese puppets (remember who owns “independent” Lebanese media such as Al-Nahar and Future TV…)
Who knows? Maybe that’s because “Rafeeq” means comrade in (red) Arabic!
is it just me, or is the latest editorial by gibran tueini exactly what michel aoun's been calling for? and how does the last sentence fit with jumblat's deal to bring back berri?
A lot of people have been calling for what Michel Aoun is calling for, he is just the loudest, and he also always claims he is the only one, so everyone believes it. Tueini has just aksed for what all of us are cautiously anticipating. Time will tell whether our hopes are in place.
