For those of you wondering, I haven't been blogging at my usual pace because I just went through my last couple of weeks of grad school. The pressure of final papers compounded with the urgency of finding a new job can sometimes be overwhelming.
Anyways, I am at least done with finals now.... So if you have any job opportunities just waiting to be filled, shoot me an e-mail! Who knows? Maybe this particular loud mouth can actually become a productive human being!
;-)

doha, I think the tip jar will actually be a drain on my finances....
First time readers may actually demand money before leaving and never comming back!
whatever happened to the presidential campaign? Didn't I nominate you to replace Lahoud?
doha... I would shoot you if I could!
abu kais, It's obvious those politicians don't want a strong, effective president. What other reason could they have for not getting rid of Lahoud and voting for me?!?!?
oh wait... there's that whole Maronite issue!
Well, maybe the speaker of Parliament! but then there's that shi'a issue!
Well, how about Prime Minister! ah... there's that Sunni issue!
Aaah Lebanon! my sweet Lebanon! Okay, now back to me... I'd like to be a janitor, can someone please get me on the phone with jumblatt!?!?!
Raja,
I'm sorry to inform you that in order to be a Janitor you have to have a PHD. There are very few jobs left in Lebanon and people carrying PHD's have priority!!
lol! good one ali! I will oblige to your demand! After all it is only fair!
but wait! I still don't have a job! Forget fair! Where the hell's jUmBlAtT?!?!
Good luck on the job bit.
Forgive my ignorance but what is it you're looking to do?
i'm just messing with Lebanon, hummbumm. there's no way i can get a job there. i don't even want a job there. not yet at least.
besides, i am also an american citizen, so i might as well take advantage of that for the time being.
pr,
from a functional angle, i am looking for policy formulation, advocacy and implementation (preferably through non-profit or for-profit organizations as opposed to government). I would also settle for research, writing & analysis, I guess.
from an "area-specific" angle, I am interested in economic development, civil society, alternative energy and almost all issues pertaining to Lebanon and its environment.
lol...
hummbumm, while you, Josey and I share an unreasonable zeal for market economies, I choose to encourage their existence, as opposed to participate in them.
The only thing I am capable of selling in a market is my own labor (and even in that meagre task, I struggle).
Raja,
Mabrouk and all the best to you. Keep us posted.
mabrouk ya raja.
josey, laz,
thanks a lot. and by the way, 3a 'balak laz!
