Raining Rockets

Beirut's southern suburbs sustained shelling all night. It was surprising reading that it actually rained in Beirut. It never rains in July. Never.

Al-Hazmieh bridge which connects Hazmieh with il-Dahyeh was hit. The bridge is under construction and has been hit twice so far.

It's close to 6AM now in Lebanon. Very soon we'll know the number of casualties.

"Nobody knows how many rebellions, besides political rebellions, ferment in the masses of life which people earth."

I am listening to the LBC morning news... they reported that the Israeli media announced that Nasrallah was injured in the latest raids... is that true? can anyone confirm that?

Better yet, and this is what we would prefer, is that leave this blog alone. This is for the lebanese to check on the latest updates from Lebanon to ascertain news about the safety of their loved ones.

Then I suggest you switch the language to Arabic. However, I will be glad to leave this blog. I stopped reading it a year ago when Hani (or maybe it was Raja) made a post telling me to shut the hell up about Hezbollah. Guess what? Now I get to say "I told you so" - and with that little bit of snarkiness, I'll get the fuck off this blog, since only Lebanese are welcome here.

i wont leave this blog now that i have found it. i dont care what language its in.

we are speaking. this is dialog. every time i have been outside israel i have had many great friends that were muslim and christian lebanese. one of my best friends is a syrian muslim.

and its not about positive discrimination or affirmative action. its just about people connecting and forgetting the crap.

hatred is stupid. there are more pressing things to worry about. the more we can practise peace the more we can build trust. that is really the only ingredient missing here in our middle east. because no one is going anywhere and its time we all get used to it.

for those who oppose dialog, i dont care what you call this post (its not propaganda or ill directed sympathy- its genuine), and know that as my neighbours, i wish you peace and, hopefully, we will see better times together soon.
